St. John Fisher College’s Lisa Knab (Churchville-Chili/Churchville) of the women’s track and field team has been named as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 15, 2012. 

On Saturday, Knab had the highest placement for the Cardinals as she finished in second place in the women’s high jump.  The Churchville native jumped to a height of 1.53 meters, just .10 meters shy of the first place finisher.

The jump was the highest of the season for Knab, as she has leapt to heights of 1.52 meters and 1.48 meters in the Cardinals previous two competitions.  Last week, with the 1.52 meter jump Knab was able to claim first place at the ROC City Classic that was held at Nazareth College.

Both the men’s and women’s track and field teams will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Ithaca College to compete in the Empire 8 Conference Championship.
