St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Courtney Clare (West Genesee/Camillus) of the women’s lacrosse team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 20, 2011.

Clare tied her career-high with seven points in Fisher’s lone game of the week, a 19-17 win over previously-undefeated Buffalo State College.

The senior tallied four goals and three assists in the game and became just the seventh player in Fisher history to score 100 or more career goals.

For the season, Clare leads Fisher (3-1) in total points with 19 on 10 goals and nine assists.

For her career, Clare has 137 points on 102 goals and 35 assists.

Fisher will return to action at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at William Smith College in a non-conference matchup.
