St. John Fisher College has named Colleen Maloney (Liverpool/Liverpool) of the women’s basketball team as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 20, 2011.

In the Cardinals’ lone game of the week, Maloney scored 14 points in Fisher’s 57-42 win at Nazareth College. 

The senior guard also recorded three rebounds, three steals, and three blocked shots in Tuesday’s game, while shooting 100% (4-for-4) from the foul line and 38.5% (5-for-13) from the floor.

.           For the season, Maloney leads the team in scoring (18.0 ppg) and blocked shots (1.9 bpg). She also averages 4.6 rebounds per game and is shooting 46.6% (164-for-352) from the floor and 34.4% (54-for-157) from the 3-point line.

Fisher will play its first post-season playoff game at 6 p.m. on Friday at Stevens Institute of Technology.
