Martin made six saves, including four in overtime, in Fisher’s 0-0 tie with visiting Clarkson University on Saturday. It was Martin’s second shutout of the season and the sixth of her career.
For the season, Martin has started in goal in all 14 contests and has a 1.79 goals against average. The senior goalie also has started in each of Fisher’s last 48 games (dating back to 2007).
Fisher (5-7-2 overall, 4-3 Empire 8) will return to action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Alfred University (4-7-2 overall, 0-6 Empire 8). If the Cardinals can defeat the Saxons, they will qualify for the Empire 8 Conference Championship for the first time since 2005.
