Simon Garno

Simon Garno joined St. John Fisher’s men’s soccer program as an assistant coach before the 2024 season. He came to the Cardinals after three seasons at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he served as a volunteer assistant coach. The Tigers went 22-15-14 during Garno’s time on staff.  

Before beginning his collegiate coaching career, Garno played at RIT from 2016-19. He was a four-year starter and a team captain as a senior. He earned first-team All-Liberty League honors three times and won the Liberty League Player of the Year award in 2019. He also made the All-East Region team three times and finished his collegiate playing career with 15 goals and 25 assists. 

Garno is currently working on his USSF Grassroots coaching license with plans to complete his USSF-D. He has coached youth soccer with the Olympic Development Program and FC Dynamo.
