St. John Fisher University Athletics

Rachel Holmes joined the St. John Fisher women’s volleyball program as an assistant coach in March 2026. 

Holmes, from Rancho Cucamonga, California, played four seasons of collegiate volleyball at Division II Roberts Wesleyan. She recorded 1,005 digs, slammed 316 kills, aced 80 serves, tallied 96 assists and totaled 18 blocks while playing in 349 sets across 101 matches from 2016-19. 

Holmes was an assistant coach at Roberts Wesleyan during the 2021 season. She still plays beach, indoor and grass volleyball in her free time. 

In addition to coaching, Holmes currently works as a clinical informaticist for the University of Rochester.
