Lindsey DeBonis, an All-Empire 8 Conference selection four times during her collegiate playing career, joined the St. John Fisher women’s volleyball coaching staff as an assistant before the 2026 season.
DeBonis has coached for VolleyFX, one of the top club volleyball programs in New York, since 2021, and spent the last three years as an assistant coach for the Fairport High School girls' team. She helped the Red Raiders win three sectional titles and back-to-back Class AAA state championships (2023 and 2024).
A 2023 St. John Fisher graduate, DeBonis played in 333 sets across 99 matches for the Cardinals from 2019-22. St. John Fisher won the Empire 8 championship in each of those four seasons.
DeBonis, an AVCA All-Region and first-team All-Empire 8 honoree as a junior, still ranks eighth in program history in career points (948.5). The former outside hitter slammed 815 kills, aced 89 serves, recorded 85 total blocks and contributed 795 digs.
DeBonis earned her bachelor's degree in adolescent education and mathematics. She later obtained her master’s degree in sports administration from Canisius.
