    Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Harris Williams became St. John Fisher’s assistant strength and conditioning coach in July 2026. A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, he works with various St. John Fisher athletic programs, including the Cardinals’ football team.  

Williams joined the St. John Fisher strength and conditioning staff after spending two years as the director of strength and conditioning at Vertus High School in Rochester. He doubled as an athletics administrative assistant and assistant varsity football coach during his time at the school. 

Williams has also worked with Rochester’s City Rocks AAU basketball team as an athletic performance coach. 

Originally from Suwanee, Georgia, Williams, a former linebacker, played collegiate football at Mercyhurst University for five seasons. He earned a Bachelor of Science in exercise science in 2021 and obtained his Master of Science in organizational leadership and development in 2023. Williams began his collegiate strength and conditioning coaching career as an undergraduate intern working with Mercyhurst’s softball, women’s ice hockey and rowing programs. He earned a postgraduate internship in November 2021 at NCAA Division I Georgia Tech, where he assisted the athletic performance efforts for the Yellow Jackets’ football program and Olympic sports. 

Following his internship at Georgia Tech, Williams spent a year in the Atlanta area as an exercise specialist at ATI Physical Therapy and as the director of sports performance at Forerunners Sports Performance. He primarily worked with collegiate athletes while leading the Forerunners program.
