Ashley Raymond, formerly Maynard, continued her role with the Cardinals’ field hockey program in 2019 as she was named an assistant coach after a prolific four-year playing career. After a brief stint away from the program, Ashley will return to the coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season. Coach Scorza spoke on her return. "As a proud Fisher alum and decorated goalkeeper, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and energy that will strengthen our goalkeepers and elevate our defensive unit as a whole. We’re thrilled to welcome her back home!"
A three-time All-Conference selection by the Empire 8, Raymond is the top goalie to ever don the Cardinal and Gold. Over four seasons in the cage, Raymond accumulated a 44-10-0 record and graduated as the program’s all-time leader in save percentage (.834) and goals against average (0.97) while her 285 career saves is second in Fisher’s history.
The Hilton native’s best season came in 2016 where she posted a 0.57 goals against average, which was the lowest of any keeper in Division III. During that season, Raymond's efforts helped lead Fisher to a 19-3 overall record including a program-best 18-game winning streak as the Cardinals won their first-ever Empire 8 Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Sweet 16.
A captain during her senior season, Raymond graduated from Fisher with a Bachelor’s degree and has also earned a Master’s in Psychology. She currently works in the East Rochester School District as a School Counselor.
