St. John Fisher University Athletics

Before Fisher: Played on the Neumann University (DIII) women’s ice hockey team in 2022-23… made 42 saves over eight games… earned 2022-23 UCHC All-Academic honors… played for the Niagara County Girls Varsity Hockey Federation team in high school… was the first goaltender in team history… also played for the Rochester Edge club hockey team… also participated in swimming and track and field in high school. 

Personal: Anna is the daughter of Amy Boies-Riek and Steven Riek… she has one brother, Henry… her mom ran Division III Track & Field at Ithaca College… she is majoring in nursing with a minor in ethics.

Fun Fact: She was a member of the St. John Fisher women’s ice hockey club team from 2023-25… she runs a mile before every game… also on the St. John Fisher track and field team… serves as the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator for the Student Nurses’ Association… has held leadership roles in the St. John Fisher Student Government Association… served as a Wegman’s School of Nursing Senator in 2025… she completed a half marathon, placing second in her division… was apart of the SJFU Summer Fellows Research Program (2025) pursing a study in ethical care and societal perspective of geriatrics.
