Ashley Raymond (formerly Maynard) rejoined the St. John Fisher field hockey program as an assistant coach before the 2026 season. The former standout collegiate goalkeeper previously served in that role on Fisher's coaching staff from 2019-21.
A three-time All-Empire 8 Conference selection, Raymond is the top goalie to ever don the Cardinal and Gold. Over four seasons in the cage, Raymond accumulated a 44-10-0 record and graduated as the program’s all-time leader in save percentage (.834) and goals against average (0.97) while her 285 career saves is second in Fisher’s history.
The Hilton native’s best season came in 2016 where she posted a 0.57 goals against average, which was the lowest of any keeper in Division III. During that season, Raymond's efforts helped lead Fisher to a 19-3 overall record including a program-best 18-game winning streak as the Cardinals won their first-ever Empire 8 Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Sweet 16.
A captain during her senior season, Raymond graduated from Fisher with a Bachelor’s degree and has also earned a Master’s in Psychology. She currently works in the East Rochester School District as a School Counselor.
