SETTING THE SCENE

The Cardinals placed sixth in the Empire 8 Conference Championship and 14th in the NCAA Niagara Regional Championship in 2025.

Olivia Grinnell, who graduated in May, was the Cardinals’ lone All-Empire 8 performer last season. She earned third-team All-Conference honors with a 6k time of 24:13.3 in the E8 Championships. A four-time All-Empire 8 honoree, Grinell ended her collegiate cross country career as one of the top runners in program history.

Rising senior Maggie Bacon is the Cardinals’ top returner from last season, as she placed 38th in the E8 Championships and 57th – just behind Grinell – at regionals.

The 2026 season will mark the Cardinals’ first under Trisha Byler, who recently became Fisher’s head cross country coach.
