SETTING THE SCENE
The St. John Fisher women’s golf team enjoyed one of its most successful seasons in recent memory in 2025-26, winning a trio of tournaments, including the Empire 8 Conference Invitational. The Cardinals also placed second in the Northeast Women’s Golf Conference (NWGC) Championship Tournament.
Fisher had three players earn All-Empire 8 status last season with strong performances in the conference tournament, including freshman Emma Sweazy, the E8 Player and Rookie of the Year. Sarah Burgess and Ava Malvaso were also first-team All-Conference performers in the two-day tournament.
Sweazy and Burgess figure to once again be the top two players for Bob Simms’ team this coming season.
