2025-26: Played in 23 games… led the Cardinals in goals (9), assists (12) and total points (21)... had a team-best three short-handed goals… scored one power-play goal… finished the season with a plus-14 rating, tied for the top mark on the team… had multiple points in six games… had three points on two goals and an assist in a 6-2 win over SUNY Morrisville on Nov. 7… scored and tallied two assists for three points in a 6-3 win over SUNY Cortland on Nov. 8… scored twice in a 4-1 win over Albertus Magnus on Nov. 21… recorded the first assist in program history in a 2-1 win over Buffalo State on Oct. 31…was the first player to score multiple goals in a game in program history (Nov. 7 against SUNY Morrisville)... named United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) All-Rookie Team… named UCHC Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week once apiece… named Empire 8 Player of the Week twice.

Before Fisher: Named to the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) All Division team while playing for the Mercer Chiefs in 2024-25… also played lacrosse in high school. 

Personal: Sam is the son of Erin and Anthony Ciappa… he has two siblings, Emma and JP.
