St. John Fisher University Athletics

2025: Saw action in 16 games on the season… scored three goals and had an assist for four points…  had two points on a goal and an assist in a win over Nazareth in the E8 Championship game on March 3… picked up 16 ground balls on the year… won the Empire 8 Men’s Lacrosse Torchbearer award, presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average (GPA) participating in the championship game for each E8 sport… through his junior year, he has a 4.0 cumulative grade-point average as a biology major.

2024: Played in 21 games... recorded nine goals on the season... had nine assisted and 18 points. 

2023: Played in 14 games with 13 goals, 6 assists, and 19 total points... had 26 shots on goal with 6 ground balls, and 1 casued turnover. 

High School: Finished 4th in his class, receiving high Honor Roll all four years ... Played varsity lacrosse all four years ... All-American Senior year ... All-WNY Senior year ... All Section VI Senior year ... Won sectionals Junior and Senior year ... Led his team in points, ground balls and face offs wins his Senior year. 

Personal: Matt is the son of Jim and Diana Slowinski ... His brother Jacob attends and plays lacrosse at St. John Fisher ... He is majoring in Biology... His favorite pro sports team is the Buffalo Bills.
