PITTSFORD, N.Y. — The St. John Fisher University women's tennis team opened the 2026 season on Saturday with a 5-2 road victory over Hartwick.
The Cardinals claimed the doubles point and won four of the six singles matches in the victory, their first over the Hawks since October 2023. Hartwick had won six of the last seven matches in the series entering Saturday.
Senior Lily Miller and sophomore Emma Mihajlovic claimed a 7-5 win in second doubles over Elise Beauharnois and Autumn Millington. Junior Sara Martin and sophomore Maura Matthews won 7-5 in third doubles over Sasha Garcia and Ciara McManus.
Sophomore Adriana Colafranceschi (second singles), junior Isabella Busch (third singles), Mihajlovic (fourth singles) and Matthews (fifth singles) claimed singles victories for Fisher.
