How They Got Here

No. 1-Seeded St. John Fisher (West Division): No matter what happens in the postseason, the 2026 season will go down as one of the most successful in the St. John Fisher men’s tennis program’s history. The Cardinals went 10-3 overall and 8-0 in E8 West Division play during the regular season, marking their first 10-win campaign since 2008 and their first-ever unbeaten E8 record in regular-season action. Fisher enters postseason play on a program-record nine-match winning streak.

No. 2-Seeded Norwich (East Division): Norwich defeated East No. 3 SUNY Delhi 6-1 in the first round of the E8 Championship Tournament. The Cadets went 12-3 overall and 4-1 in E8 West Division Play during the regular season.

With A Win…

St. John Fisher would… win an E8 Tournament match for the first time since 2007… advance to the Empire 8 Championship match for the first time in program history… extend its winning streak to 10 matches.
