PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Six St. John Fisher University field hockey student-athletes have been named Division III Scholars of Distinction by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) for the 2025 season.
The Cardinals' list of honorees includes juniors Lauren Fracy (sustainability), Leeah Herbert (biochemistry) and Mary Kate McPhee (nursing), sophomores Sam Current (nursing) and Alison Taplin (athletic performance) and senior Lily Humphrey (sustainability). Current, Herbert, McPhee and Taplin are two-time NFHCA Scholars of Distinction, while Humphrey has earned the honor four times.
The NFHCA honored 543 Division III field hockey student-athletes as Scholars of Distinction this year. To be eligible for recognition, student-athletes must have recorded at least a 3.90 grade-point average during the fall semester.
