PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's volleyball team breezed to its ninth sweep of the season over the University of Mount Saint Vincent on Friday night in the SUNY New Paltz Tournament. The victory marked the Cardinals' 13th in a row, a streak that matches the program's longest in the rally scoring era (2001-present).
How it Happened

Sophomore Lydia Fraser led the Cardinals with four kills and a career-high six service aces in the opening set, which the Cardinals handled in a hurry, thumping USMV 25-5. Fisher scored 15 of the first 16 points in the frame.

The Cardinals scored nine consecutive points to open the second set and mostly cruised to a 25-16 win. Senior Erika Edholm had five kills in that frame for Fisher.

Junior Emma Lawler slammed five kills and logged a .400 hitting percentage as the Cardinals wrapped up the seamless sweep with a 25-15 third-set victory. Sophomore Ashlen Croft and senior Isabella Mahar each aced a pair of serves.
