Women's Soccer Falls 1-0 To Catholic University

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The St. John Fisher women's soccer team opened its 2025 season with a 1-0 loss to Catholic University on Saturday afternoon at Carlini Field. 

How It Happened 

  • Catholic's Peyton Coron scored the game's lone goal nearly 20 minutes in on an assist from Caroline Aponte and Alex Berish. 

  • The Cardinals had some scoring chances throughout the contest, taking 11 shots with five of them on target. Senior forward Madelyn Wania, Fisher's top returning offensive player from last year, put three of her four shots on net.
