PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher softball slugger Emily McManus has been named a third-team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), which announced its 2025 Division III All-America teams on Wednesday evening.
McManus, an outfielder, is Fisher's 12th NFCA All-American and first since pitcher/utility player Emily Trotman earned second-team honors in 2021.
The NFCA's All-America Committee named 55 DIII student-athletes from 39 schools to one of its three 2025 All-America teams. The DIII committee includes one member head coach from each of the NCAA's 10 regions. All student-athletes who were nominated by a member head coach and voted to the first-, second- or third-team All-Region squads were eligible for All-America consideration.
Recently named an NFCA First-Team All-Region III performer, McManus set Fisher's single-season home runs record as a sophomore this past season, smacking 15 long balls while playing in all 44 of the Cardinals' games. The 2025 Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Year also led Fisher and set career highs in batting average (.445), hits (53), slugging percentage (.908) and walks taken (25). She finished with a career-best 44 RBI, second on the team behind senior Mari Spitz, who knocked in a single-season program record 51 runs.
McManus has driven in at least 40 runs and hit at least 13 home runs in each of her first two collegiate seasons. She already ranks fourth in Fisher history with 28 career homers.
The Cardinals won the Empire 8 regular-season title and finished 29-15 overall (18-4 E8) in 2025.
