PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher men's lacrosse team closed the regular season with a 29-3 Senior Day victory over Hartwick College on Saturday afternoon at Growney Stadium.
With the win, the Cardinals improved to 13-4 overall and 9-0 in Empire 8 Conference play, while Hartwick fell to 8-6 and 6-3 in the Empire 8. The Cardinals have won their last 44 games in a row against Empire 8 teams since 2019, a streak that includes regular-season and postseason contests.
The Cardinals, the conference's regular-season champions, will begin postseason play against No. 4-seeded Hartwick or No. 5-seeded SUNY Brockport on Thursday, May 1, in the Empire 8 Semifinals.
With two assists in the contest, fifth-year senior Timmy Salit (106 career assists) passed Ian Evans (105 career assists) for third on Fisher's all-time assists list. He now has 194 career points, tied for the fourth-most in program history.

Fisher dominated from the start, exploding for 14 goals in the first quarter, its most in a single period this season.

Zach Stirpe opened the scoring just over a minute in, and the Cardinals poured it on with goals from Sean Donaldson (2), Robbie Salit (2), Ethan Kesselring (3), Brady Mason, Timmy Salit, Nick Marsala, Colin Blakeslee, Brett Seaman and Kyler Ringgold.

The Cardinals led 17-1 at halftime and hammered Hartwick with 12 more tallies in the second half to reach 29, their third most in a game this season.
