Manning Makes 19 Saves, Salit Records Second-Straight Three-Goal Game In 14-8 Win Over Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Five players had multi-goal performances in the No. 17 St. John Fisher men's lacrosse team's 14-8 victory over Colorado College on Saturday afternoon at Washburn Field. 

The Cardinals improved to 4-1 overall, while Colorado College fell to 4-3. 

How It Happened 

  • Brady Mason, Timmy Salit and Ethan Kesselring scored in the first period as the Cardinals took a 3-0 lead. 

  • Mason scored twice more as part of a four-goal second quarter that put the Cardinals ahead 8-4. 

  • Braeden McNeill scored both of the Cardinals' goals in the third quarter. They led 9-4 entering the fourth. 

  • The Cardinals scored four goals in the fourth quarter to finish off the 14-8 victory. 

Game Notes

  • Goalkeeper Tyler Manning made a career-high 19 saves. 

  • Salit scored three goals for the second straight game. 

  • Mason, who had two goals against Aurora on Thursday, had his second straight multi-goal game. 

  • McNeill and Sean Donaldson (2 goals) had their first multi-goal games of the season. 

  • Colin Blakeslee had his second two-goal game of the season. 

  • Defender Jack Cornell set season highs in caused turnovers (3) and ground balls (8). 

  • Scott Reeves won 16 of 24 faceoffs.
