HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The St. John Fisher women's tennis team swept Johnson & Wales in doubles but lost 4-3 in a dual match against Johnson & Wales on Monday evening at Hilton Head High School.
The Cardinals fell to 4-9 on the season, while Johnson & Wales earned its first victory of the season.
Fisher's doubles tandems of Lilly Renzi/Eliana Kelly, Lilly Miller/Paige Kopolow and Tianna Buttino/Syd Emerson claimed all three matches for the Cardinals. Fisher also took two of the first three singles matches, with Miller and Grace Fisher recording victories.
However, Johnson & Wales won the final three matches to nail down the dual victory.
