PITTSFORD, N.Y. – A memorial fund has been established to honor the life and legacy of late St. John Fisher men's and women's tennis assistant coach Steve Psaila.

The Steven A. Psaila Memorial Fund, which has already amassed nearly $7,000 in donations, aims to continue his legacy by providing opportunities for youth tennis players in the Rochester area. The fund will offer scholarships for lessons at the Tennis Club of Rochester and help finance equipment and other resources necessary to help young athletes reach their potential.

Psaila passed away on March 20 at 65 years old. He had a wife, Marisa, a son, Griffin, and a daughter, Summer.

Psaila joined the St. John Fisher coaching staff as an assistant coach in August 2019. During his time at Fisher, Psaila had a positive impact on countless student-athletes on and off the court, and in 2023, he was recognized as the Coach of the Year during the Student Government Association's Cardinal Awards.
