PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher senior guard Sidney Tomasso has been named an NCAA Division III honorable mention All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
A WBCA honorable mention All-American for the second straight year, Tomasso led the Empire 8 in scoring (19.2 points per game) and finished second in rebounding (9.3 rebounds per game), free-throw percentage (86.5%) and 3-point shooting percentage (35.3%) this past season. Nationally, she ranked 22nd in free-throw percentage, 24th in points per game and 40th in rebounds when Fisher's season ended.
From Waverly, New York, Tomasso also led the Empire 8 and finished 32nd in Division III with 12 double-doubles.
A three-time All-Empire 8 first-team selection, Tomasso had the best performance of her collegiate career in a 70-67 victory over SUNY Brockport on Feb. 8, as she scored 32 points and collected 17 rebounds. Her 32 points marked the ninth-most in a single game in St. John Fisher history, while her 17 boards marked the sixth-most by a Fisher player in a game.
Tomasso, one of the best players in program history, has her name stamped all over Fisher's record book. She's third all-time in free throw percentage, fourth in points scored, fifth in 3-pointers made and fifth in total field goals made.
Tomasso has garnered several accolades over the last month, including being named Empire 8 Player of the Year and earning D3hoops.com first-team All-Region 3 honors for the second year in a row.
The WBCA on Monday named Tomasso to its 2025 Division III Women's Collegiate All-Star Team. She will play in the 2025 WBCA Collegiate All-Star game at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at Roanoke College's Cregger Center in Salem, Va.
