PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Forward Eric Kegler delivered a career-best performance on Senior Day, but the St. John Fisher University men's basketball couldn't climb all the way back from a 19-point first-half deficit in a 93-82 loss to Russell Sage on Saturday at the Manning and Napier Varsity Gym.
The Cardinals dropped to 7-17 overall (3-12 Empire 8), while Sage improved to 15-9 (8-7 Empire 8) and beat Fisher for the second time this season.
Kegler set career-highs in points (30) and field goals made (10 of 15) for his first collegiate 30-point effort. He also had six rebounds, an assist, a steal and a blocked shot in the contest.
Kegler was one of four seniors honored before the game, along with forward Connor Williams and guards Cole Thompson and Christian Daley.
