PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher University women's soccer standout forward Madelyn Wania has earned third-team United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America honors for the 2025 season.

Wania, a media and communications major who boasts a 3.85 cumulative grade point average, is the first player in program history to capture Scholar All-America honors from United Soccer Coaches. She also earned second-team Scholar All-East Region honors from United Soccer Coaches and Academic All-District recognition from College Sports Communicators.

Wania is the second Fisher player to garner academic accolades from United Soccer Coaches under head coach Molly Romano, joining Kayla Rhude, who earned Scholar All-Region honors as a senior in 2023.

Wania finished her time at Fisher with 45 total points on 14 goals and 17 assists. She helped the Cardinals go 24-11-4 over two seasons, one of the best stretches in team history.

The Cardinals went 13-5-2 overall, captured the program's first Empire 8 championship and reached the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in program history in 2025. Their 13 wins marked the most by a team in program history since 1983.
