ONEONTA, N.Y. – Junior Kaylene Noble and freshman Kalyna Dannenberg recorded their sixth double-doubles of the season to lead the St. John Fisher women's volleyball team to a sweep of Hartwick on Friday night.
The Cardinals (18-1, 3-0 Empire 8) pushed their program, rally scoring era record (2001-present) winning streak to 18 matches with the victory. It marked their 10th sweep in a row and 14th of the season.
Hartwick, 11-10 overall, dropped to 3-1 in Empire 8 play with the loss.
Noble slammed 14 kills while hitting .364 to go along with 10 digs in the match. Dannenberg, undoubtedly the top rookie in the Empire 8, had 11 kills while hitting .333 and totaled 10 digs.
How It Happened

The Cardinals scored the final four points of the first set to turn a 23-21 deficit into a 25-23 victory. Dannenberg had six kills in the frame and slammed three of them in that final stretch.

Fisher went on a 6-0 run to take a 14-7 lead in the second set, which they claimed by 10, 25-15. Noble recorded five kills while hitting .333 and recorded six digs.

A mid-set run once again made the difference, as the Cardinals used a 5-0 surge to take a 13-6 lead en route to a 25-19 sweep-finishing victory. Sophomore Lydia Fraser led Fisher in the frame, pounding six kills on a .625 hitting percentage.

The match marked Noble's 12th this season with a .300 hitting percentage or better. She's had double-digit kills in all but three of Fisher's 18 contests.
