PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Senior guard Sidney Tomasso recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the St. John Fisher women's basketball team to a 76-47 victory over Keuka College on Friday night at Manning and Napier Varsity Gym.
The Cardinals (12-4 overall) remained unbeaten (7-0) in Empire 8 Conference play and won their 12 straight game against Keuka. The Wolves, winless (0-7) in the conference, dropped to 5-11 overall.
How It Happened

The Cardinals never led by more than three points in the first half until the end of it, as they went on a 10-0 run over the final 2:23 to take a 30-20 lead into halftime. Senior guard Emily McLaughlin led Fisher with five points and knocked down a deep 3-point shot at the buzzer during that quick charge.

Keuka stayed within six to nine points early in the second half before the Cardinals went on another sustained run to take control. The Cardinals out outscored the Wolves 14-2 over about four minutes in the third quarter en route to a 49-28 lead, their largest of the game to that point.

Tomasso scored nine of her points in the third and 12 overall in the second half.

The Cardinals maintained a 20- to 25-point lead for almost the entire fourth quarter.

The Cardinals scored 27 points off 20 Keuka turnovers. They also outscored Keuka 40-16 in the paint.
