ITHACA, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's volleyball team (4-3) split its Saturday doubleheader and finished its weekend at the Bomber Invitational 2-1 overall, beating Middlebury 3-2 to start the day before losing to No. 21 Ithaca 3-0 in the evening.

The Cardinals trailed Middlebury 2-1 entering the fourth set, which they won 26-24 to force a fifth set. Fisher took that one, 15-11.

Junior setter Reilly Morrow finished the fourth set with two straight service aces to secure the victory and force that fifth set.

Sophomore outside hitter Kaylene Noble had four kills in the fifth set. Freshman outside hitter Lydia Fraser had three.

Noble led the Cardinals with 15 kills, her fifth match this season with at least 10.

Fraser also had 15 kills in the match, a season-high. She's reached double-digit kills in three of Fisher's last five matches.

As a team, the Cardinals set season highs in kills (58), assists (49) and digs (70).

Morrow once again led the Cardinals in service aces (4). She also paced the team in assists with 46, a season-high and four shy of her career-high 50.

Morrow has had seven service aces in four of Fisher's even matches this season.

Sophomore middle blocker Ana Gutman had nine kills and led the team with two blocks.

Junior libero Kiera Hartpence had a season-high 23 digs.

The Cardinals earned their first win over Middlebury. The teams first met in 2014.
