ITHACA, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's volleyball team won its second straight match on Friday evening, beating the University of Rochester 3-1 in the first game of the Bomber Invitational at the Ben Light Gymnasium. Fisher won the first (25-21), third (25-15) and fourth sets (25-17); Rochester took the second set (25-22).
The Cardinals, who improved to 3-2 overall, beat Rochester for the first time since 2021. The victory marked their fourth win in the series since 2005.

The Cardinals had a 17-7 advantage in service aces. They've had at least 15 aces in three of their five matches this season.

Sophomore outside hitter Kaylene Noble led the team with 14 kills. Fellow sophomore outside hitter Emma Lawler had 10 kills and a team-high .500 hitting percentage.

Freshman outside hitter Lydia Fraser recorded 11 kills, her second game so far this season with at least 10. She had a .391 hitting percentage.

Junior setter Reilly Morrow had 30 assists. She's had at least that many in three of Fisher's five matches thus far.

Morrow also led the team in services with five. Noble added four aces, while Fraser and sophomore middle blocker Ana Gutman had two apiece.

Junior libero Kiera Hartpence had 10 digs.
