Powers, a junior, scored his first career goal – and Fisher's first of the season – seven minutes into the contest. Senior captain Trevor Heschke picked up his first assist of the season.

Burkhart, who earned his fourth career win in net, made six saves while logging his second clean sheet in a row.
-
Burkhart has made 13 saves over three games so far this season. The graduate student has allowed only one goal.

As he did in the draw against Hobart on Sunday, Burkhart made a key stop on RIT's best scoring chance of the night in the second half.
-
The victory was Fisher's first over RIT since its 1-0 win over the Tigers back in 2012.
From The Head Coach
On Christian Burkhart: "Another huge performance from him," head coach Jack Burgasser said. "Back-to-back shutouts and back-to-back performances with six saves. Another game where he had a crucial stop in the second half to keep the shutout intact."
On the team's first goal of the season: "We'd been knocking on the door," Burgasser said. "It's hard to believe it has taken us three games to score because of the high-quality chances we've created. To finally get one felt good for the group and gave us some good momentum."
