MENDON, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's tennis team fell 5-4 to Russell Sage on Saturday afternoon at the Mendon Racquet and Pool Club.
The Cardinals (2-3, 2-1 Empire 8) had their winning streak snapped at two and lost their first league dual of the season. Sage moved to 6-1 overall and remained unbeaten (4-0) in the Empire 8.

Junior Abby Garvey beat Noella Morris in the No. 5 singles match (6-2, 6-1). The match marked Garvey's first singles match of the season.

Grace Fisher and Eliana Kelly beat Juliana Gagliardi and Emma Vander Baan in No. 3 doubles (8-3). It was their first match as doubles partners this season.
