Hartwick Beats Field Hockey 3-0

PITTSFORD, N.Y.- The St. John Fisher Field Hockey team dropped a conference contest by a score of 3-0 to Hartwick on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals are now 6-9 on the season with a 4-2 record in the Empire 8.

Match Notes 
  • Neither team was able to sustain offensive pressure early in the contest. In the first quarter, there was only 1 shot between the two teams, and none on goal.

  • The first goal of the game came with a little over 5 minutes left in the first half. Hope Angioletti found the back of the net for the Hawks, with an assist from Jessica Betts. 

  • In the second half, the Hawks netted two more goals to secure the victory. Danielle Hand and Jessica Betts netted the goals for Hartwick.

  • The Cardinals goalkeeper, Senja Matson, tallied three saves in the contest.
