PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's basketball team stayed undefeated in conference play, beating the Keuka Wolves on Tuesday night, 87-41.
The Cardinals dominated the game throughout, opening the night with a 17-0 run before ending the first quarter with a 27-2 lead. They increased that lead throughout the night until ending with the 46-point victory.
All 15 members of the squad saw action, and 13 scored at least two points on the night. Junior guard
Sidney Tomasso led the Cardinals in scoring with 19 points, including three three-pointers. Senior guard
Claire Kruszka registered a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds while adding team-highs in steals (four) and assists (four). The Cardinals notched 13 steals as a team on the night and made the most of them, generating 26 points off of turnovers.
Fisher's bench also had a good night, racking up 33 points. Junior guard
Kelly Moravec led the substitutes with eight points and nine rebounds.
The Cardinals, now 11-2 overall and 5-0 in the Empire 8, continue their homestand on Friday, Jan. 12, against Houghton. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
