PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's basketball won its 14th straight game and stayed undefeated in the Empire 8 on Saturday, defeating Hartwick College, 87-39.
The Cardinals briefly trailed 7-4 in the early minutes of the game and were tied 13-13 with just over a minute left in the first quarter, but outscored the Hawks 74-26 the rest of the contest for the comfortable victory. 
Freshman forward Joleen Lusk led the home team with 17 points and seven rebounds while contributing three assists and three steals on the day. Junior guard Katie Moravec was second among starters in points, with nine. Junior Sidney Tomasso and senior Claire Kruszka each had eight points, with Tomasso also notching three steals. 
Junior Emily McLaughlin scored nine points off the bench for Fisher, all on three-pointers. 
The Cardinals now stand at 17-2 on the season and 10-0 in the conference. They have not lost since a 69-55 loss to Ithaca on Nov. 28, 2023. 
Fisher hits the road to start this week, traveling to conference foe Keuka on Tuesday, Jan. 30. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. Fisher's next home game is Friday, Feb. 2, against Elmira at 5:30 p.m.
