PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's tennis kicked off conference play on Saturday with a home matchup against Alfred University. Prior to the competition the Cardinals honored their three seniors, Natalie Eisenson, Madison Galvin and Kathryn Strait.
 
The duo of Galvin and Lilly Renzi came together to claim a double wins, 8-1 before the team dropped the other two matches. In the singles matches, Lilly Miller and Renzi secured the pair of wins for Fisher. Renzi defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-4, and Miller was victorious 6-3, 6-0. Overall, the Cardinals fell to the Saxons 6-3.
 
Fisher head on the road for their next match on Sunday, Sept. 24 when they take on Utica University at 1 p.m.
