ALFRED, N.Y. - The St. John Fisher University women's soccer team played the Alfred University Saxons to a draw on Saturday, 1-1.

Fisher got on the board in the 22nd minute, when graduate student Jenn Kirker found the net for her second score of the season. Alfred tied it up later in the half, 1-1, on a Abby Scanlan score in the 38th minute. That score would hold through the end of the game.

Sophomore Avery Byrnes had three saves on the night. Fisher outshot Alfred, 24-11, but were stymied by Alfred's goalkeeper, Kiani Barnard-Pratt, who made eight saves.

The Cardinals return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Alfred State University. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 P.M.
