PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Empire 8 conference announced the Men's Tennis all-conference teams and individual honors on Tuesday. The St. John Fisher University men's tennis program has three players recognized for their strong season. Jake Anthony and Sean Danahy earn first team recognition, while also being named to the second-team as a doubles pair. Will Chubb tallies a Second-Team honor and Danahy is also named Sportsman of the Year.
 
Jake Anthony finishes the year 6-3 overall in his singles matches, including 6-1 in conference play. These numbers earn him All-Conference First-Team honors. Fellow first-team honoree, Sean Danahy, competed in 13 matches and recorded a 6-7 mark, while going 4-4 in Empire 8 competition. The two were partners in 11 doubles matches, and finished 5-6 when playing together, 4-4 in conference play.
 
Will Chubb earns Second-Team All-Conference with his success in singles matches. In 12 matches he finished with a 6-6 overall record and 5-3 in conference matches. Danahy is also the Cardinals representative for Sportsman of the Year. One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2023 Empire 8 Men's Tennis Sportsman of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen.
