PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University mens tennis team hosted Medaille University at home on Friday and were victorious 9-0 to claim their first win of the season. They now hold an overall record of 1-1.
In doubles, the team of
Sean Danahy and
Jake Anthony strolled to an 8-0 win, before
Anthony Molosag and
Nick Licciarddello earned their win by a score of 8-2. The duo of Zach Decaro and Will Chub also earned the win in their match, securing it with a score of 8-0.
In the individual matches, the Cardinals impressed in all six contests. Danahy and Licciarddello both won two sets, 6-1, 6-1. Anthony earned his win 6-0, 6-2, followed by Chubb taking sets 6-2, 6-2. Molosag took the first set 6-2 before winning the decisive match 6-1.
Ryan Wilson wrapped it up with a 6-1, 6-4 set wins over his opponent.
Fisher is back in action on Saturday, March 25 as they remain at home to host Alfred University at 2 p.m.
