PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's volleyball team are on the road this weekend as they take on Empire 8 foes, Sage College and Hartwick College. The Cardinals currently sit at 11-8 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

Winning Streak
The women's volleyball team is currently on a seven-game winning streak with four wins against non-conference opponents and three against E8 opposition. Four of the seven victories were 3-0 sweeps, and only one match went to five, which was a tremendous comeback against Buffalo State.

A Noble Prize
It is no secret that first-year outside hitter, Kaylene Noble, has been a key part of the teams recent success. Her 222 kills on the season has her in the top-5 among first-years in division III and her 3.31 kills per set has her in the top-15 in the same group. She ranks no. 4 in the conference in total kills, no. 5 in kills per set, and tied for third in total points. She has won Empire 8 awards in three consecutive weeks (2x Rookie of the Week, 1x Player of the Week).

Caitlin Hammecker is the second weapon with 115 kills and 27 total blocks for 150.0 points. Emma Freidel and Mia Wood have been the setters for the team, with Freidel tallying 295 assists with Wood adding 197.

In 2022, they lost a total of five matches all year. They are on a successful run of games, having gone 4-1 in their last five games, including their three conference victories. Its been a three-headed attack for the Hawks, with Staecia Silofau (173), Shaelyn Thornton (128) and Shelby Swartz (108) all having over 100 kills in 15 matches.
