HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team will have to wait another week before it has another chance to clinch a postseason berth as the Cardinals were upended by Houghton College, 8-1, on Saturday in an Empire 8 pairing.
The team's lone point came at fourth singles as
Jordan O'Connell won the opening set, 6-1, before closing out the flight with a 6-3 decision.
The Cardinals will play a pivotal conference match at 1 p.m. on Saturday as they travel to Utica University to face the Pioneers.
