HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team concluded its four-match stint in South Carolina on Thursday as the Cardinals fell to Baldwin Wallace University, 6-3, at Evian Tennis Courts. With the defeat, Fisher fell to 1-4 on the year while the Yellowjackets improved to 7-1.
With Baldwin Wallace having won two flights in doubles play, the Cardinals were able to cut the deficit in half after
Sean Danahy and
Jake Anthony claimed an 8-6 win at second doubles to make it 2-1.
In singles competition, Anthony earned another point after winning at fifth singles, 6-1, 7-5 while
Jordan O'Connell followed suit at sixth singles with a 6-0, 7-5 decision.
Fisher will make its way back north where it will make its home debut at 4 p.m. on March 18th when it faces Oneonta State at Mendon Racquet and Pool Club.
