MIDDLEBURY, VT – The St. John Fisher University field hockey team was on the road on Sunday, traveling to Middlebury College for an early afternoon contest. The Cardinals were unable to come away with the win and now hold a record to 3-7, while the Panthers jump to 9-0 on the season.
Sophia Trozzi and
Abby Richardson combined for 26 total saves. Trozzi tallied her 15 saves in the first 30 minutes of action, and Richardson took over after halftime and recorded 11 saves.
Sarah Woods,
Sam Choate and
Rileigh Luste all tallied defensive saves.
The Cardinals will return home for their next match, hosting Oswego State on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. at Growney Stadium.
