OSWEGO, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team made its season debut on Sunday as the Cardinals fell to Oswego State, 6-3, in a non-conference pairing at the Laker Tennis Courts. With the defeat, Fisher concludes its fall season at 0-1 while the Lakers improved to 2-0 on the year.
After falling in three doubles matches, Fisher got on the board in individual play when
Sean Danahy took a 6-4, 6-0 decision at first singles.
Jake Anthony won his fifth singles pairing behind a 6-4, 6-2 performance while
Andrew Cegielski posted a 6-3, 7-5 win at sixth singles.
The Cardinals will return to action at 4 p.m. on March 18th when they welcome Oneonta to Mendon Racquet and Pool Club.
