PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College baseball team has posted its 2021 schedule with the Cardinals tentatively scheduled to play in 40 games including 17 games on the grass at Dugan Yard. All games are subject to change based on local, state, and federal health directives.

The season is scheduled to get underway on Friday, March 5th as Fisher will play Elmira in a non-conference matchup inside Falcon Park in Auburn. Two days later, the Cardinals will face Utica College at Falcon Park in the first of a four game set over a seven-day stretch.

On Friday, March 19th, Fisher will open up the home portion of its schedule beginning with a nine-inning game against Houghton. The following afternoon, the Cardinals will travel to Houghton for a doubleheader against the Highlanders to close out the three-game series.

Four days later on March 24th, Fisher will welcome the University of Rochester to campus for a nine-inning affair before hosting Rochester Institute of Technology the next day.

On March 27th, head coach Brandon Potter's squad will host Elmira in a doubleheader at Dugan Yard before traveling to Dunn Field one day later for another twin billing against the Soaring Eagles.

Three days later, Fisher will duke it out with Rochester at home for the second time in a week before opening up Empire 8 play with a home-and-home series against Keuka College.  On April 2nd, the two teams will meet at Dugan Yard before playing a pair at Keuka on the 3rd.

From there, the Cardinals are set to duel RIT on April 7th at home before hitting the road for the next 10 days beginning with a much anticipated doubleheader against nationally-ranked Cortland on April 11th. Two days later, the team will face RIT again before making its way to Houghton for a doubleheader on April 16th.

On April 17th, Fisher will return to the friendly confines of Dugan Yard to play two more against Houghton before hosting Utica on April 21st in a nine-inning contest.

On April 24th, Fisher will start the first of five games against the Soaring Eagles beginning with a doubleheader in Elmira before swapping venues to play a pair at Dugan Yard on the 25th. Three days later, the two programs will meet again in Elmira to close out the season series.

Fisher will begin the month of May with a four-game set against Utica starting with a doubleheader at home on the 1st. From there, the two teams will play again in Utica in another twin billing on May 2nd.

The Cardinals will have their final out-of-conference tune-up on Wednesday, May 5th at the University of Rochester before wrapping up the regular season with a pair of games against Houghton and Keuka, respectively.  The Cardinals and Highlanders will play at Dugan Yard on May 7th before the regular season comes to a close on May 8th in Keuka Park.

The Empire 8 Championship, which will be played at various sites and hosted by the highest seed, will begin on May 11th.
