ELMIRA, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College women's volleyball team ran its winning streak to 12 matches on Saturday following a pair of non-conference wins over Elmira College and Misericordia inside Spiedel Gymnasium. With the wins, Fisher improved to 15-3 on the year.

The Cardinals got off to a quick start and never looked back as Fisher overwhelmed Elmira following a 25-13, 25-14, 25-12 decision over the Soaring Eagles.
Delayne Young led Fisher with 11 kills on 18 swings and finished the match hitting .556 overall.
Lindsey DeBonis added seven kills and two blocks in the win while
Alea Steigerwald contributed five kills and nine digs over three sets.
Kara Balmer returned to the court and chipped in with four kills, three blocks and a service ace while
Emily Brochey handed out 12 assists. Libero
Julia Halsey notched seven digs overall.

The Cardinals' streak continued in their night cap after handing Misericordia a straight-set loss, 25-18, 25-21, 25-22. Overall, Fisher combined to hit 38 kills in the win and produced 44 digs defensively.
Young continued to be Fisher's go-to option on the day as her 17 kills marked a career-high while Steigerwald hammered home nine kills in the sweep and finished with three aces and four digs.
Katie Leaty had 30 assists in all and eight digs while DeBonis was credited with three kills and a team-leading 14 digs.
The Cardinals will look to make it 13 wins in a row at 7 p.m. on Tuesday when they host Houghton College in an Empire 8 pairing inside Manning and Napier Varsity Gymnasium on Bobby Wanzer Court.
