PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College men's and women's indoor track and field teams are prepared to get back to work this winter as the programs have announced their 2021-22 schedules. Both programs will use 10 regular season meets, beginning on December 3rd, in preparation for each program's run at a third-straight Empire 8 Championship.
 
Mike Henchen's squads kick it off on the first Friday in December with a trip down to Houghton to participate in the Highlander's annual early Houghton College Invitational before turning around a week later to participate in the early season invite hosted by East Avenue rival, Nazareth.
 
In the new year, the Cardinals will travel to Staten Island to compete at the Wagner College Invite, where there is sure to be talent from all NCAA divisions, on Saturday, January 8th, 2022.
 
A week later, Fisher will head east down I-90 for competition at the Utica College Invitational, then head the opposite way seven days later for the Brockport Invitational on Saturday, January 22nd.
 
The final Saturday in January is owned by the Conference Challenge, which will be held at Nazareth's Golisano Training Center, before the Cardinals circle back to Brockport for a two-day meet on February 4th and 5th.
 
The teams will split up by event the following weekend of February 11th, as half of the Cardinals will compete in the two-day Valentine Classic in Boston, Massachusetts, while the other half participates at the RIT Invitational on Friday.
 
Fisher will face one last regular season tune-up at Nazareth on Friday, February 18th, before the Empire 8 Conference Championship, which will be hosted by Utica College, commences on the weekend of February 25th and 26th.
 
Those Cardinals who qualify will have a week to prepare for the Atlantic Regional Championship, which will be held on March 4th and 5th at Nazareth College, before they are represented on the national stage at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on March 11th and 12th.
