CLEARWATER, Fla. - The No. 13 ranked St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team beat Clark University, 18-12, on Saturday at the Phillip Jones Field. The Cardinals finished their spring break games with a 2-0 record while improving their overall record to 3-1. The Cougars fell to 0-4 with the loss. 
Sophomore 
Ian Evans broke two single-game program records with nine assists and 11 total points on the day. 
Nicholas Miller netted four tallies while 
Jordan Depetres and 
Jack Mulvihill each scored a hat trick. 
The Cougars got off to a 2-0 lead to start the game. Evans then found Depetres for Fisher's first score of the day. After Clark pushed its advantage to 4-2, the Cardinals responded with three-straight goals to close out the quarter with a 5-4 edge. 
Tommy Farry scored the first goal of the second frame to make it 6-4 in favor of Fisher. Clark would then respond with back-to-back tallies to tie things up again. On the following faceoff, 
Joe Post won it with 
Roger Panara grabbing the ground ball. Later in the possession, Miller beat the Cougars net minder with Evans earning the assist. 
Clark squared the game at seven-all but the Cardinals retook the lead with Evans scoring on a feed from Miller with just over two minutes left in the half. Fisher carried the one-goal edge heading into the break. 
The Cardinals were able to push their lead to two on another Miller score. A three-goal run made it 13-8 in favor of Fisher. At the end of the quarter, the Cardinals held onto a four-goal lead at 15-11. 
After a Cougars' goal cut the deficit to three to open up the final stanza, Mulvihill buried a man-up score to put Fisher back in front by four. The Cardinals' were able to lock down Clark down the stretch while adding two more goals before the final horn. 
Farry and 
Jack Hyde each posted a multi-goal game while Farry tallied two assists for a four-point day. Panara scooped up a game-high five ground balls as Fisher won the ground ball battle 20-14 over the Cougars. Fisher went perfect on all of its clear attempts and scored on each of its man-up opportunities. 
Darin Eakins earned seven saves over 60 minutes played in net. 
Fisher will now be making its way back up to New York State. The Cardinals will travel to Union College on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. faceoff.
